An endurance art piece of reminiscence.

My grandfather taught me the traditional ways of stone stamp carving. Every time I use a stamp that was created by myself, I feel the connection between me and my grandfather is reinforced, and is slowly washed away until the next time I use the stamp. This repetition triggers memories of things he once said, some event we participated together or my impressions of him.

I see him as the greatest influence of who I am today, teaching me ways of tradition as well as keeping an open mindset towards design and innovation. This piece will be a continuing tribute to him, and will not be complete until I die. (I miss you grandpa.)
